Handy Manny Birthday Invitations: Tool Case

I miss my two nephews terribly :(  They're growing fast and for now we only get to chat mostly at ChatOn.  The last time I saw them was 2011, for my 2nd nephew's baptism.  They are so near yet so far.  They live in UK but to get there it costs almost 10,000 Sek for the three of us  :(  Going to Spain or Greece are way way cheaper.  I know there's a cheaper way which is via London then take the train or domestic flight but with a kid in tow and/or a husband well that's another scenario.

As an aunt who is addicted to paper crafting, I see to it that when they will celebrate their birthdays with a bang, it is I who creates all the party essentials just like in the case of my first nephew.  He is into Handy Many .... yeah kind'a crazy about it so naturally his party's theme is no other than..... yup, you guessed it right!

First batch I will show you is his party invitations =)

Every item is hand cut and images were from free Handy Manny images which I printed out on the exact sizes I will be needing.  Assorted stamps were used but the cutie ruler is from Technique Tuesday, the edge punch I used EK Success - Robot and of course a washi tape =)  Here it is:

Here is a closer look of one card:

 What's in the pocket?

There you go!  Now, I will go to work =)

Have a great Easter Week and of course Happy Crafting!

BOO! (Halloween Invites)

As the saying goes "Time Goes So Fast!"

My son will turn eight this month and year after year we have a party for him but all those years it was mostly playing time with his classmates ... boys only ... in a private and rented adventure land.  As early as March my son and I talked about some plans for his birthday this year.  he was having a hard time choosing between Superman or Batman or Spiderman (again) or Dinosaurs or Monsters.  When he realized that his birthday falls very near All Souls Day he firmly made a decision to have a scary Halloween party instead.

Yipee!  How I long to have a Halloween party for his birthday especially knowing that they are big enough NOT to be really scared when it comes to scary costumes.  He chose his costume and of course I have one,too =)

What so special about his birthday this year is that we hired a magician, yipee again = )  Oh I can't wait to that part on his party but I'm sure I will be missing lots of episodes that day because I have to go around and take pictures ... then be a host to the parents and the teachers.  Yes, we invited the parents as well as ALL the girls in his class, too.  I'm crossing my fingers that everyone will be able to come and celebrate with us a scary magical Halloween party.

Now that I'm finish with all the invitations ...32 pieces, I'm now at the start of creating the decorations .... thank you cards ... and the give-a-ways.  So, for this day I would like to share with you all the birthday invitations.

Materials Used:
(Front)
Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge - the 3D frame was converted into a card instead ... cut into 5"
Mini Monsters CRicut Cartridge - the words "Boo!" cut at 3", and the spiders at 0.3/4"
Tim Holtz EF - Halloween Night and Posien Set
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad - Barn Door, Peeled Paint, Bruch Curdory, and Vintage Photo
Inkadinkado Acrylic Stamp - Ticket
Stickles
3D eyes
Zig Writer - Brown
Cardstocks - Reprint and Kuretake

(Inside) - for this part I'm sad to say I was not able to take a picture before adding all the party details.  I refuse to show it now due to security reasons but I did use combinations of Stampendous, Panduro, and Hot Off the Press acryclic stamps.

Thank you for viewing =)

PS.  Guess who helped me in making the cards ... click here.

POKEMON 7th Birthday Invitations

Joseph is very very happy with his invitations and proud to say we both worked hard on this project. We sure had a grand time together and I made him decide on what embossing folder ... colors of ink pads ... where to put the digital image. He got sad along the way coz he can't help me in every step of the way - torn between cartoons and cardmaking hahahahahahhaha.

In the invitation, it says there that if you cannot attend call NLt 17th. Everytime a parent calls my heart pounded coz I want all his classmates (boys) to attend. It made me and Joseph (especially) when it's just a call to say how awesome the card is and they will not miss the private party.

Materials / Tools:

Different B & W pictures of Pokemon printed on Laser printer and used one image as digital stamp. The other Pokemon pix will be used for coloring books which will be one of his thank you gifts to all the guests (kids).
Tim Holtz Embossing Folder - Rays
Ranger Distress Ink Pads
Hot Off the Press Acrylic Stamp for the "You're Invited"
Cardstocks from CCHobby
Handmade Papers as the base card
Clay machine
Cricut Cartridge - Create A Critter
Copic Markers and ProMarkers
Heide Swapp Edge Distresser
Zig Marker (black) for doodling
Daler Rowny FW Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic - to color the Pokemon clay accent as well as to give highlights on the digital image.
Paper Clay (white)

Procedure:

Joseph embossed the green cardstock with TH embossing folder - rays. I distressed all the edges both the green and blue cardstocks.  Highlighted the edges with Ranger distress ink pad - peeled paint for the green cardstock and broken china for the blue cardstock.

Swish some Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade ranger Distress ink pads to give a sunny rays effect.

After printing out the Pokemo digital image, I colored the image(s) with Copic makrkers and Promarkers.

I borrowed Joseph's Pokemon chip and played with paper clay.

Joseph colored each clay chips with pearlescent acrylic paint.

Although the mass produced Pokemon chips are reverse, Joseph was very very happy.

Used Create A Critter cartridge to die-cut the words "Let's Play".

Printed out the given Nikki's invitation card. Nikki's Adventureland is where Joseph will have his private party =)
