Last Minute Thank You Card

I have been sick for one whole week last week and so I missed a lot of crafting and things I'am responsible for at work.  I went back to work yesterday and tried to finish all my tasks and now I feel sick again ... stuffy nose :(  Although I was sick last week, I managed to attend one of our staff's farewell party.  She is  65 and so she opted to retire from work - Oh lucky her!  Hubby and I also wanted to retire from work but we of course know it's not the right time .. yet!

She has been with us from the very beginning we opened our first store in the city and then came the 2nd store.  She was like a mother to all of us - she can be strict to anyone that includes us her employers hahahahahahahahahahhahahaha but we appreciate everything she has done for opur companies and I really admire her being organized =)

Her farewell party held at her home was a memorable one because she invited some of our previous staffs so it was kind'a reunion for everyone.  The food was ssssssssoooooooo delicious and the drinks were overflowing!

As a token of our appreciation, her colleagues gave her open tickets in theater since she loves theater shows.  As for us we gave her a set of silver jewelry with lots of diamonds.  Yeah, we included insurance for safety purposes.  Ok, here came my problem:  Hubby asked me to make a thank you card at the last minute!  Duh!  I'm still recuperating!!!!  The fastest and simplest thing I can make is by using punchers so here it is .... a very simple card indeed and thanks to my left-over "Thank You" sentiment which I cut using cricut a long time ago using New Arrival Cricut cartridge =)  As for the punchers I used Martha Stewart Daisy Fan as well as Doily Lace Trim.

Baptismal Sign : Blessed Day

I believe I can say that I was able to make a lot of things yesterday in line with a client's order for Baptismal Event.  I still have to finish few items but since my son is at home this day due to coughing like a seal I'm pretty sure I will be able to accomplish a lot of things once again this day.  yeah, but he has an appointment for haircut this afternoon plus we have to go to the grocery so maybe 2 hours will be lost for my crafting this day ... oh plus I have a heavy date with the laundry machine again this day.

I came across a set of pens which may use for those kind of pre-cut stickers.  I'm sorry I really forgot what it's called so maybe you can tell me hehehehehehehehehhehehe.  Forgetfulness is part of ageing hehehehehehe.  I kind'a had a hard time using it at first but will practice more.  I bought the set of pens on sale several months ago and it's time for me to use it, right?  There are so many items here in my craft room that needs to be used and abused but I just can't help but buy and buy and buy.  Maybe you know about this pen but it's my first time so bear with me.  I heard also that one can use any pens for CD/DVDs writing which with all honesty I bought a pack of that, too, plus the sharpie pens I bought in UK.

Here are the pens I'm talking about:  Papermania Pens

And here's the project I made using the silver pen from the set:

Materials Used:

Cricut Cartridges:  Stamping Solutions ("Blessed Day" cut to 5 1/2"),  New Arrival (Baby Head - cut to 7"), and Wall Decor & More for the hanging clothes.  The cross you see is an extra cut from Indie Art at 1 1/2".

Cake Doily sprayed with home-made mist using Ranger Distress Ink Refills.

Jumbo 3D eyes
Puff Pen for the mouth
Craft chalk for the cheeks
Stickles - Waterfall

Once again THANKS for dropping by!

until then.......

Baptismal Thank You Cards

Yipee!  This project is done for a client =)

I simply used the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge, doilies, 3D eyes, dollar store stamp bought in the US, Scallop punch.  Added a bow and lace I bought in Thailand on each card .... colored the cheeks with craft chalk and highlighted the lips using Copic Markers.

Will post the Invitation cards very soon =)

until then......

Mickey Mouse CD Cases for Give-a-ways

Eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!  All these years I thought I posted this project together with all the Mickey Mouse projects I made for my nephew's first birthday party.  How can I miss this project in sharing with you all.

In every kiddie party there will always be give-a-ways. Most of the time a kid will get a bag of candies before leaving the party.  As for my very first nephew's birthday last February 2010, which I have mentioned was a Mickey Mouse themed party, I created a CD case for all the kiddie guests and naturally with a Mickey Mouse soundtrack.  This is how it looks like:

The MM ears were cut using Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge.
The words "Thank You" were cut using New Arrival Cricut Cartridge

Once again I would like to thank the following people who made it possible for me to make and finish this project:

Maryann Laursen - for lending me the Mickey and Friends Cartrdige that works hand in hand with my Mickey Font Cartridge. And of course for helping me with the Mickey Mouse Classic Soundtrack plus providing me withe Mickey Mouse Christmas DVD's.

Connsue Diaz - for finding free links on Mickey Mouse Soundtracks.

Gomitras - for the Mickey Mouse images.

As of last month I was able to acquire the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge so I no longer need to borrow from a dear friend when the need arises =)
