My 2006 Traditional Scrapbook Layouts

Now that  we're back in Sweden after a much deserved R&R most especially for hubby, I have tons to do like unpacking things then sorting out clothes to wash, buy needed grocery items for our daily food, then of course reviewing all the photos taken and uploading it in our FB site.  Oh boy, speaking of which, I still have to upload photos from our trips since 2009, darn!  Anyway, I have tackled most of "Things To Do" but the first thing I did upon coming home is to sit and smile while I'm in my craft room =)

Now, as I have put all the huge sea shells in a basin to wash off sea water smell, I just have the inkling to upload some projects I have done since 2006.  On this part I have to do it 2 projects a day or 3 at the most.  It makes me smile that inspite of the fact that I have not much tools and materials from 2006 till 2008, I survived creating crafty projects.  I believe one of these days ... or years I will be revamping some traditional scrapbook layouts I did by using more of my cricut cartridges and Tim Holtz dies.  That will be fun!!!!

Notice that almost all of my layouts is documenting my only child, my precious son =)

Most of the materials I used were left-over yarns from my DMIL and a simple Scrapbook Software which hubby bought for me the year I started dwelling on paper crafting - digital scrapbooking, 2006.  I still believe that anyone can do scrapbooking both traditional and digital as long as one has a computer and a printer with lots of inspiration.

2007 Culture Night Scrapbook Layouts

From 2007 to 2008 I was one of the circle leader at Medborgarskolan and Studieforbundent Vuxenskolan.  I was teaching traditional scrapbooking.  Armed with little craft tools and materials I took the plunge of advocating scrapbook at Uppsala, Sweden.  I teach 2x a week for  3 hours per session.  Culture Night happens every year and I was invited to do scrapbook demonstration plus I can also sell whatever items I have.  I was able to sell craft materials and my demonstration was a success.  I was asked to do the demo for 2 hours and I was glad for 2 hours coz I had the time to go around the city center and watched the live bands perform, checked out trade fairs and mini markets =)

Here are the layouts I made during my 2 hour demonstration, 09 September 2007.  It was also our wedding anniversray that day =)  My layouts were poorly done, I should say, but bear with me given the fact that I have to create layouts within 2 hours plus I was just a newbie at that time since I was more into digital scrapbooking when I started this craft madness.

Joseph's Favorite Kiddie Films

What a lovely sunny day here in Marbella, Spain!  Since I will treat my son for a movie "Ice Age 4" few hours from now which I'm hoping that it would be in English not Spanish, I have time to review my creations from 2006.  Hoping of all hopes that my tablet being used by my son at this moment will not be low in battery otherwise he has to take over using my laptop, haist!

Honestly, I have been creatiung and creating projects and no time to upload nor update my craft blog sites.  But I do believe that it's this site I have totally neglected.  Since I no longer dwell at my Multiply site which means in the long run it will be deleted, I now have time to do some updates here.  Let's start with the traditional scrapbook layouts I did last 2007.  Yup, 2007 indeed!

These layouts were done out of impulse after noticing that my son loves to watch films at home.  We normally buy kiddie films when he was still a toddler and I decided to document his oh-so-favorite films =)  Please be informed that in the year 2007, I have very very limited craft materials so I make do of what I accidentally see in stores.

The films I documented for this project are movies he loves to watch over and over and over again at any given day.  I can hear him laugh so loud while I'm busy at the kitchen and his laughter is just too contagious.  Some films he's very quiet obviously it has something to do with the monsters or dinosaurs.  There are films that made him squeal and scream due to excitement.  Those are one of the memories that will forever remain in my heart.

I know I have to do more layouts of his fave films from 2007 to present.  Currently he is into war movies and I have packed and sealed all jhis kiddie films so that one day he may hand-down to his own children.

Thanks for viewing =)
