Christmas Tags (Ornaments)

Have you guys visited The Graphics Fairy?  I'm sure you did and maybe an avid follower =)  To date, the blog has over 3,000 graphics free for everyone. I admire all her graphics and sometimes I grab and that's what I did last year.  I grab all the birds I find so cute and I just can't resist.

At first, I don't know what to do with the birds but then after making and hanging all the 3D birds I've made for our Christmas tree last year, I decided to use the graphics as our added ornaments.  Although I've made 60 3D birds it wasn't enough BUT after adding the tag ornaments, it made our tree a beautiful and happy one.

I cut all tags using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge.  Sprayed some home-made glimmer mist using Distress inkers with a dash of Perfect Pearls.  Oh yeah, stamping is essential and I mostly used Kaiser Kraft clear stamps among others.  After adhering all the birds from Graphics Fairy, I applied silver stickles around the image. To hang the tags, I first made a mini Christmas wreaths inspired by Tim Holtz and used a silver star bunting as the loop to hang the tags.

I will definitely keep these tags as long as I live and pass it on to my son someday when he has his own family.

Joseph's Birthday (Pokemon) Give-a-way

A mother will do everything for her child and over and over and over again I was in said situation.  Regardless if I feel unhealthy I was determined that the planned give-a-ways will be done and over with.  Right after work last Thursday and Friday, I went straight to my small craft room and started doing the main give-a-way for all the kids.

They are all crazy when it comes to Pokemon that the school declared that it is forbidden to bring any toys unless it's a ball or a jumping rope.  That was a good declaration coz I really don't like Joseph bringing all his pokemon cards plus a pokemon binder in school.

I was torn betwween buying Pokemon cards or I will just make my own.  The price of cards are just too much that I ended up creating Pokemon coloring pages for each kid.  I requested Joseph to choose from Pokemon coloring pages found at internet for free and printed the images.  Since Joseph will turn 7, each kid will receive 7 pages of Pokemon images that they can color.

I almost gave up on this project coz not feeling well combined with time pressure but it dawned on me that my son is expecting lots of give-a-ways for his party.  before going to school ... on our way home .... and at home ... after dinner ... before going to bed, he would ask me if I'm done with the project.

Anyway, both parents and kids were astonished to have such a wonderful gift from us.

Embossed the crayola case using the asian bundle.

The handmade crayola case using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge can hold 7 pieces of caryons.

Yes, I created the case smaller than the length of the crayons because the colors from the crayons will add gladness in the whole package.

The case that holds the coloring pages are cut using Tags, bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge.  Embellished with Argyle Edge Punch by EK Success, RikRak band, stickles, and the handle was punched using SU Puncher.  The crayola case was highlighted with Broken China distress ink pad.  The last was adding the printed Pokemon picture =)  To personalize each pack, I wrote the names of each kid.

Ok this is the last fo the packaging I'm proposing to my client.  It made me laugh while I was creating the packages coz I hace very limited info on what exactly she wants.  Hhhmmm, they'd better bring samples of the give-a-ways very soon hihihihihihihihihi and can't wait to see my client personally =)

Entry #58 - NCM 2010 : Proposed Give-a-way packaging (1 of 3)

This was really a stressful day for me coz in the middle of my crafting I had to stop since we had to find Joseph's toy that he likes. We went to all the toy stores here but the one he likes is not available. In one store he almost cried coz all the lego items were gone as in totally gone. Why? They had 50% sale and we were not aware of that. We ended up buying his 2n and 3rd choice. So there goes my whole afternoon.

By the time we got back I had to fix the house a little then prepare dinner. But most of all I had to watch my favorite TV show "Ghost Whisper" and every Sunday they air 2 episodes so that means 2 hours hahahahahahahahhaha.

Well at least I was able to make 3 packages for the celebrant to choose. Maybe will make 3 more if I feel like it hehehehehehehe. Oh the celebrant is the one turning 18 which I'm also asked to make her invitations.
