MWTD : Washi Tape Organization

How do you organize all your tape like washi tape, paper tape, and printed masking tape?

While I was cleaning one of the kitchen closets, I found a great case for all my printed tapes.  It is originally for aluminum foil but since all my foils are XL, it doesn't fit at all.  Instead of just throwing it I tried putting my tapes and it works!!!!  The best part is that the case itself has teeth so I don't need scissors ... I just drag and cut =)

Hhhhmmm, I know I have 6 of these cases which I bought 3 years ago coz one can buy 2 in a pack and I know I bought 3 packs.  I wonder where are the 3 empty cases now .... I bet it is somewhere down the basement.  Well, I gotta go and find coz I still have tapes to store and organize =)

MWTD : (Phase 2) Upcycling Empty Cereal Boxes

By this time you have seen the phase 1 of this particular project =)  Now, on to the 2nd phase ... still following Jennibellie*s tutorial.  The sun is ever shining so bright since yesterday and so I decided to take out my acrylic paints and start painting every page of the folded empty cereal boxes I have prepared.  The outside of the boxes are shiny so it takes few coatings of paint and I get bored so I decided to order another set of paints in bottle but the back side is so easy ... only a small drop of paint and it covers the whole page.  I will just paint the rest of the front sides when I get hold of my new paints.  Told ya' I'm crazy on different coloring mediums!

My hands are dirty but what the heck!

My Workdesk This Day (Upcycling Empty Cereal Boxes)

I will be going out tonight to join our Specsavers staff night out.  Hubby says maybe I should join to have a break.  I have been sick since Wednesday evening last week and now that I only cough a little, hubby thinks It'll do me good to go out and enjoy ... have a drink or two but never come home drunk =)

As I try to feel if I'm fit enough to go out this evening, I did grab some of my empty cereal boxes down the basement and tried to make it into an art journal.  I have seen Jennibellie's video tutorial and I followed her step-by-step.  I just love all her art works!!!

OK, I admit I cannot finish this project this day but at least I have done the base.  Next step for me is to color all the pages and then I will transform it into a book which means to say I have to use needle and thread which I'm not comfortable with plus beads.

I feel like adding 2 more sets of pages but I have to consider the fact that most likely I will be embellishing a lot of pages with bulky cuties so I really don't know for now.  One thing for sure, I have to decided on that before I start coloring all these pages from cover to cover.
